Ranching and Rodeo Culture in Alberta (2024-Ongoing)

Ranching and Rodeo Culture in Alberta explores the traditions, practices, and evolving identity of Southern Alberta’s long standing relationship to farming, stock raising, and sport. Through family, community, and relationships with the land and animals, this project examines the deep connections that shape the lifestyle of agricultural workers, rangeland managers, and cattle ranchers. By documenting the lives of Indigenous and non-Indigenous cowboys and wranglers, it offers an immersive look at the people, places, and practices that define ranching and rodeo in the region.
